All Ireland Schools Gold for Delaney

The All Ireland School’s marks the pinnacle of the Schools track and field programme and it took place in its usual home of Tullamore on Saturday last. John Delaney was the stand out performance from a club perspective where he took gold in the Intermediate Boys 400m clocking a PB of 50.03s. Delaney raced strongly through the first 200m and as they entered the final 100m he had made a gap which he held the whole way to the line. Joshua Crosby also had a great competition in the Junior Boys Shot Putt where his new PB throw of 12.70 saw him finish in 3rd.  Laura Ayres finished in 8th place in the Minor Girls 800m in 2:26 while Will Duffy also finished in 8th place in U.16 Boys Mile in a time of 4:46.
