Leinster Children's Games + U12 & U13s Championships 

The club had a huge representation in the Leinster Children’s Games U12 and U13 Championships which took place on Sunday in Tullamore. The club won 13 medals on the day across a wide range of events. A huge thank you to all of the athletes, parents and coaches who continue to give freely of their time to help the development of athletics in the club. As part of the programme, St Abban’s had a number of athletes represent Laois in the County Relays. The U11 Girls team finished in 2nd place with Realtin Byrne, Beibhin Byrne, Meadhb Kearney and Ava Brophy winning the silver medals. The Boys U11 team were also successful claiming a bronze medal. Tom Condron, Liam Doyle, Edward McDonald and Leo Smith combined for 3rd place. The U 13 Girls team were just outside the medals where the team of Anna Kennedy, Roisin Kearney, Abigail Daly and Sinead Fitzpatrick finished in 5th place.
